About the Team
We are an international team of business analysts and application engineers based in Switzerland and Slovakia. We are in charge of our reinsurance financial data store which acts as an integration layer and connects several Swiss Re Financial systems. We liaise closely with other IT and non-IT teams within SwissRE globally. Our team has different technical and financial backgrounds and our excellent technical know-how is complemented by a strong team spirit always striving to deliver the best solution for our customers.

We are looking for a hardworking and highly motivated IT Business Analyst to join our business analysis team within Swiss Re's Information Technology division!

In your role you will have the opportunity to work on global projects as well as support production processes. The project work will focus on the data integration, design and development of new interfaces and functions, as well as the support and monitoring of data migrations and reconciliations. On the production side the main tasks will be to support the quarterly closing with special processes and to secure the daily data processing. You will be involved in all steps of a project and the production control and will be assigned own sub-projects which you will manage independently.

Your key activities will include:

Business analysis of new requirements for new IT-solutions and change request for existing IT-solutions:
- Gathering, discussing and analysing the requirements for the new solutions and system improvements in close partnership with our business partners and our application engineer team
- Translating the gathered requirements into system specifications and documenting them
- Working closely with our application engineers in the realisation phase and ensure the correct understanding and implementation of the documented specifications
- Developing, performing and documenting function and application tests
- Documenting the solution
- Independently managing assigned tasks and subprojects

Business support and production control:
- Support financial data migrations in close cooperation with other technical teams and the responsible finance department representatives
- Monitoring and maintenance of interfaces and data migration processes
- Performing data migrations and clean-ups
- Performing system reconciliations and data quality checks
- Supporting the financial quarter closing activities

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About You
- hold a University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology or equivalent
- have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- have good communication skills
- have very good knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of SQL is a strong asset for this position
- have good knowledge in accounting, your work experience in accounting would be an asset
- are proficient in English, German is an asset
- are flexible and open for new tasks, willing to learn permanently
- are a self-starter, independent and responsive in character and work
- are open minded
