You will become proficient in cost analysis and a core member of our international team.
Our department steers the costs of Swiss Re's Group Functions and allocations to the business divisions and acts as the Group COO Office. We are part of the Finance Group Operations/Corporate Centre unit directly reporting to the Group COO and the Group CFO of Swiss Re, with the CFO Group Operations/Corporate Centre and various direct reports based in Bratislava, offering you ample career opportunities within the unit and beyond. Our innovative Service Cost Accounting brings together the managerial and financial accounting views for greater transparency.

Do you love working closely with internal clients and strive at the heart of strategy creation for a global company?
You will:
-craft submissions of key sets and service catalogue in cooperation with the responsible Cost Controllers
-clarify questions and give advice to our clients to increase efficiency
-lead performance management for Group Operations with Key Performance Indicators
-build solutions to estimate how demand impacts cost
-develop new ways of service cost analytics
-lead productivity improvement projects
-interact closely with our three business areas (Reinsurance, Corporate Solutions, Life Capital) and finance representatives across the world
-generate proven insights for our customers with your spike in analytics
-design solutions and align them with our clients.

You will distill improvement ideas from the team's data and act as an advisor to the business on efficiency improvements by reducing demand. You will come up with the right solutions to reflect how our company works in its cost allocations and to reduce demand for internal services.

The team
We are a team of 10 people in Bratislava and Zurich, part of Finance Group Operations with a total of 140 people, most of them in Bratislava, and the key responsibilities to

orchestrate the annual planning and factual results process and create high-quality cost allocations including the service catalogue and cost allocation keys for Group Operations and Group Functions
own the demand-supply dialogue with the business
find opportunities and run productivity projects
lead the design and implementation of the Group Operations strategy.
In our team, you will be close to the cost teams in business divisions, Group Finance, and Group Operations, to see directly the results of your work.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

-display a "can do" mindset, are dedicated and put the customer first
-strive at conceptual thinking and understanding a topic from start to finish
-have very good analytics knowledge and are proficient in MS Excel; knowledge of MS Visual Basic and MS Access is an asset
-strive at creating storylines and documents in MS PowerPoint
-deliver high-quality end products also in short time frames and focus on making our partners and ourselves successful
-communicate and listen well to top management, internal clients, and colleagues
-are comfortable to navigate in a multinational company
-have proven your ability in bringing design questions to a conclusion
-have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in finance or consulting
-focus on improving solutions, processes and ways to interact
-hold a university degree
-talk and write fluently in English
-are a phenomenal teammate.
