Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are Division EMEA's individual risk marketing and underwriting unit for all Property&Specialty and Casualty lines of business. We look at and assess single risks (e.g. various industry segments, construction projects, professions etc.) and provide reinsurance solutions for such risks to our clients. Our business is very close to our client's daily business and allows you to learn the essence of insurance and reinsurance from scratch.
As Graduate Junior Facultative Underwriter you will
• Support underwriters in managing underwriting decisions and in writing existing and new business
• Analyse, assess and cost the technical insurability of risks
• Learn to provide clients with customised solutions and negotiate terms and conditions mainly via phone, email and potentially face-to-face meetings
• Conduct preliminary deal analysis
• Prepare applicable account data for review
• Assess policy wordings with benchmarks
• Interact with client managers, market underwriters and treaty underwriters across different Lines of business
• Spend 12 months in the team located in Bratislava and 6 months in Zurich or Munich based teams

You will be joining a newly established, growing, young and diverse team of current 8 Junior Facultative Underwriters located in Bratislava who operate within a big international team of Facultative underwriters located in Zurich and Munich covering the whole EMEA region with a wide range of activities involving analysing, rating and signing Property&Specialty and Casualty risks.

• Self-confident, able to work with clients, business partners or senior colleagues
