Job description, responsibilities and duties

About the Role:

Your main responsibility in this position will be to analyze and maintain static data in asset management software platforms. You will be able to gain understanding of the nature and impact of data maintained and the ability to ensure their highest quality through performing various checks, report queries and data reconciliations.

Under your responsibility will fall:
• Set-up and maintenance of a high variety of financial security types. Examples like fixed income securities, asset-backed securities, equities and different derivatives
• Coordination of portfolio creation, modification and termination from static data perspective
• End-to-end data integrity checks to ensure highest data quality
• Collaboration with partners in getting to understand their data needs and requirements

Additionally you will have the opportunity to get familiar with tools like Bloomberg Professional and Thomson Reuters Eikon, which are widely used by investment professionals across the world.

About the Team:

Our Asset Management function handles variety of assets that Swiss Re generates through its core insurance and reinsurance businesses. We in AM Business Services provide an efficient operating platform capable of supporting all financial market activities conducted by Swiss Re.
Joining Data Integrity team, which is built of 7 members, gives you a rare possibility to gain the most insight across all AM Business Services teams into many interesting aspects of a trade life-cycle. You will learn different characteristics of financial securities under which fall also exotic products like catastrophe bonds, weather and electricity futures/options etc.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Excel - Advanced

Personality requirements and skills

• University education (Master's degree) - preferably economic specialization.
• Basic knowledge of investment products and capital markets
• Language skills - English advanced,
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, specially MS Excel (lookups, pivots), VBA is advantage
• Detail orientation, diligent and accurate working style
• Very good analytical skills • Ability to work under stress and multitasking
• Good presentation skills is advantage
• Strong team player
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
