As a member of the Carrier Reporting & Analysis Services team you will prepare, analyse and report financial information of the legal entity for US-GAAP and local accounting standards.
Main tasks:
•Execute the quarterly close of the US-GAAP and local financial statements by monitoring the closing process and performing quality assurance activities and provide accounting guidance
•Steer the analytical information process and review information received from other teams as well as perform analytical procedures for all valuation to understand the legal entity's story line
•Support projects and large transactions from an accounting and reporting perspective
•Provide comprehensive financial and variance analysis and business commentaries with respect to reporting, monitoring and reconciliation activities according to management and stakeholders requirements
•Prepare on a quarterly or annually basis qualitative reporting to Board of Directors, senior management or other internal clients on all valuations as well as reporting to regulatory bodies or other governing authorities on local accounting standards
•Ensure that we execute on high-quality, robust processes for all reporting deliverables, in line with existing Swiss Re processes and deliverables for our already well established carriers
•Contribute to improve processes and systems to ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements, and also to meet internal management expectations
•Establish a network and closely collaborate with the respective professionals across the organization

About you
We would be happy to meet you if you have the following skills:
•University degree, preferably in finance/accounting/economics and with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience, audit experience would be an advantage
•Knowledge and experience in the preparation of complex financial statements, ideally in the financial industry, preferable in (re-) insurance reporting
•Experience in financial reporting focused on timely delivery and high quality of output
•US-GAAP or IFRS as well as local valuation knowledge
•Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Power Point, knowledge of SAP would be advantage
•Excellent command of the English language
•Strong analytical skills and holistic approach and ability to work with complex details and apply good business judgement and deliver high-quality output independently
•Ability to work under tight deadlines and on your own initiative
•Ability to make decisions within the parameters of the role and to explain the business rationale behind
•Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Strong customer focus
•Intercultural competencies and the ability to understand complex processes. Keen to learn and quickly and efficiently adapt to changes
