Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Cost Allocation team will be a total of 9 FTEs including yourself, housed within a highly integrated Group Cost Management unit of 25 FTEs based in Zurich, Bratislava and Armonk. We are part of Finance Group Operations, which in total has 140 FTEs.
Our main goal is to be the central point of contact for the divisions on any Service cost allocation related topic where we ensure close collaboration with the Division Heads, Divisional Executive Offices and Cost representatives such as Department and Cost Centre Heads.

The Group Cost Management unit is responsible for a global Group cost governance and consolidation activities, including cost planning and BU/Group Function target settings, assurance of global cost consolidation and processing, internal and external executive cost reporting and external disclosure, and cost allocation governance for management and financial accounting. The team is part of the Finance Group Operations/Corporate Centre unit which is a unit directly reporting to the Group CFO and Group COO of Swiss Re Group, with the CFO Group Operations/Corporate Centre and various of his direct reports being based in Bratislava, allowing for ample career opportunities within the unit.

Are you an experienced professional who loves working in a demanding environment and able to deliver precise results even while under pressure?
Working closely with Cost Controllers, Legal entity Controllers and Finance stakeholders, you will be solely responsible for the creation and maintenance of Service Cost allocation key templates plus the main contributor to automate this process into the main key engine of SAP.

You will translate content changes into services and allocation keys.
Based on your level of seniority and as deemed necessary, you will be responsible for giving business advice, as it relates to design principles during the periodic service and key definition.

In addition and very importantly too, you will assure quality of key templates as well as business inputs (e.g. missing inbound keys).
This position requires an excellent analytical mindset and ability to prioritize.
It will involve regular interaction with various stakeholders across the Swiss Re Group.

Information about the selection process

•Experience in data management, relational data models and monitoring of data quality
•Excellent MS Excel, and other Microsoft Office suite programs
•Ability to achieve precision alongside managing multiple topics under time pressure
•Ability to assess, understand and manage complex dependencies
•Cross-functional stakeholder management; stature and confidence to interact with staff across all levels of the organization
•Fluency in written and spoken English
•Excellent communication skills and team player

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

1. You have one to three years of work experience in accounting/financial reporting
2. You are qualified in Accounting, Audit, Finance and/or university degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
3. You have the basic understanding of financial reporting processes, risk and controls
4. Experience in the use of standard bookkeeping software for financial accounting
5. Proven PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
6. Great teammate with good communication skills
7. You are engaged and motivated
8. Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are advantage and welcome
