In the role of Sourcing Manager Europe, your main tasks will include:
- plan and lead sourcing initiatives and projects for all spend categories in the assigned countries
- provide high quality and cost-effective services from the vendors to our business partners in Europe
- co-develop the EMEA strategy in alignment with the global Category Strategies and apply your expertise for its successful implementation within Europe
- lead the demand management and play a key role in specific supplier performance and innovation activities we undertake
- ensure efficient service delivery that exceeds expectations of our internal partners by designing quality processes
- mitigate any operational, financial and reputational risk to Swiss Re by assuring compliance with the relevant Sourcing regulations
- communicate with our senior partners for various sourcing initiatives, and develop a sustainable sub-regional business network while ensuring effective collaboration across Sourcing
- take ownership for sourcing delivery and be the lead Sourcing advisor to our business partners in Europe
- consolidate and share vendor, market, category and business data and information relating to European markets with other Sourcing colleagues

About the Team
We, as the Regional Sourcing Team, are spread across the EMEA, APAC & AMERICAS regions with access to the Global Sourcing network. We focus on delivering sourcing initiatives across all categories of spend cross-divisionally. We help to develop and execute the Regional Sourcing strategy in alignment global Category Strategies.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- You acquired bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, IT or business administration. We have a strong preference for CIPS or similar professional qualification
- Ideally, you have ten (10) years of Sourcing experience in the insurance, re-insurance or financial services industry
- You have excellent command of English language, other language is desirable
- You have a proven track of previous business partnering and management
- Your category, demand and vendor management skills are on an advanced level
- You have very good comprehension of Sourcing systems
- You possess well-developed interpersonal skills with a key focus on communication, problem solving and decision-making
- With your strong focus on customer and excellent advisory skills, you are able to effectively collaborate with internal customers and external vendors
- You demonstrate behaviours consistent with Swiss Re personal imperatives focused on delivering sustainable performance, challenging the status quo while bringing new ideas as well as taking personal accountability
