Job description, responsibilities and duties

Core Responsibilities:
• Work closely with underwriters, experts and other departments in order to handle tasks on time with high quality
• Review, check and gather insurance and legal documentation
• Review insurance submission data for accuracy and completeness
• Reflect insurance policy terms, conditions into the systems
• Prioritize the workload in order to meet audit SLA and accuracy requirements
• Make sure the data entered have supporting documentation attached
• Interpret and manipulate non-standard submission data for the risk to be appropriately modeled
• Determine the appropriate Property Industry Classification of the insured assets through a review of their operations and discussions with underwriting team
• Reflect insurance policy terms and conditions into the costing tools
• Identify and input secondary modifiers relevant for the costing
• Ensure that the entered values are correct
• Assess risk through our pricing models, interpret results and form recommendations
• Maintain and update the risk information
• Support underwriting teams with other costing related tasks (such as premium calculation
• Natural Catastrophes analysis, preparing data for 4-eye review, etc.)
• Maintain and update the SOP to reflect the business requirements and portfolio specifics


Additional Responsibilities:
• Regularly monitor the contracts which will be due/ are due for processing
• Enter and maintain information in systems and tools, including documents, process changes and associated open/completed tasks following established guidelines and processes
• Interaction and coordination with team members and stakeholders
• Perform other position related tasks (e.g. participation in projects, initiatives, etc.) as instructed by supervisor
• Achievement of Key Performance Indicators

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Education:
• Bachelor's Degree/Master´s degree
• Relevant job experience is a plus


Relevant professional experience:
• Knowledge and understanding of Re-/ Insurance business is a plus


Linguistics:
• Excellent communication skills (reading, written and verbal)
• Proficient in English, + any other European language is a must


Other:
• Demonstrates profound computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Package (special focus on Excel)
• Demonstrates intermediate level of math, administrative procedures and general economic principles
• Demonstrates ability to easily interpret the terms and conditions of the legal document, administrative procedures and general economic principles
• Demonstrates logical and analytical thinking, ability to connect dots, ability to identify and report problems or errors while working with significant amounts of detailed information
• Applies knowledge to technical and processing tasks through daily activities and responsibilities
• Excellent reading comprehension, verbal and written communication skills
• Accountable to deliver timely and accurate business processing also during peak times
• Ability to adapt to fast growth, peak times, change and demand
• Ability to work both independently or collaboratively while establishing priorities; ability to handle multiple tasks in a rapidly evolving environment
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people in a multi-cultural environment
