This is an opportunity for you to join a team in the early stages of its development. We are looking for a hardworking individual, who can bring knowledge and an enthusiastic 'can do' attitude to our team. The iptiQ Division, through its Operating Entities provide access to attractive and growing primary risk pools.

We are now recruiting a Financial Planning Analyst with an accounting background, passionate about being involved in the growing business unit.

In this the role you will be able to apply your accounting and reporting know-how into the financial management of our iptiQ business in Asia. You will work closely with Chief Financial Officer, your finance colleagues, and the functional heads in the business. You will also develop your understanding of different valuation principles (US GAAP, Statutory and EVM) and respective internal and external reporting requirements.

Main tasks:

Business partnering and decision support
- Prepare the iptiQ Asia metrics dashboard and reports for management
- Be responsible for accuracy of all data reported on the business in China, tracking actuals and working with the accounting team to fix booking issues
- Providing insightful financial analysis to your partners and colleagues, supporting the business in leading and achieving its key financial performance indicators

Planning, forecasting and monthly variance process
- Own the Plan process, delivering a 1-year and 3-Year Plan which aligns to the top down strategy provided by management
- Provide a forward-looking view of performance through forecasting, analyzing drivers and identifying risk and opportunities
- Submit quarterly projections, actuals and three forecasts per quarter

Ad-hoc analysis and projects
- Develop ad-hoc business financial analyses to support projects, including business case development
- Engaging with a wide range of colleagues to support iptiQ China in achieving its strategic priorities and financial targets
- Position acts with a high degree of autonomy & discretion within the delegated authority
- Ad hoc tasks as required by your line manager and senior management

About the Team

We are newly established Finance Accounting & Reporting team of 8 finance professionals in Bratislava. We are responsible for the quarterly financial closing for US GAAP, EVM and statutory valuations for our legal entities. In addition, we also contribute to the financial planning and analysis of the entities, providing quality management information for reporting and decision making, both historic and forward-looking projections. We also contribute to several development projects.

Personality requirements and skills

- Accounting knowledge through a relevant qualification
- Experience in a finance department
- Experience in producing management reports
- Accounting and Reporting systems including the extraction of reports
- Understanding and production of Income statement and Balance sheets
- Understanding methods for producing and analyzing forecasts and plans
- Ability to work within an appropriate control environment
- Communicate effectively at all levels, including written and oral presentation, engaging partners as appropriate
- Demonstrate good organisational skills, with an analytical and structured approach to work
- Work well in a team or independently and involving others appropriately in the business
- Computer-literate with excel and operating systems knowledge
