Junior Software Developer

Resonate have established an application development practice for developing specialist tools in the Unified Communications Space these are based on Microsoft’s Power platform in the low code space as well as more traditional app development using languages such as C# and Java. We have seen explosive growth in this area and would like to expand our team to cater for the demand.

There are generally the following routes to market:

a) To address specific business problems/requirements that customers engage us for
b) Consultative approach where there is no apparent business challenge and we are requested to investigate automation possibilities to save a customer time and money
c) We tailor existing tools for the customers environment

Within the Power Platform space, we foresee applications to automate manual or repetitive tasks, looking at data to provide actionable insights, simple applications to aid process and many other scenarios too. The MS Power Platform is a buzzword right now and we aim to be best in class in this space as well as offering more traditional development solutions.
In the traditional application space, we develop tools and services to support companies and service provides with their voice and video services. This could be reporting and analytics, video room management and other apps.
We only started the practice a year ago and are already seeing tremendous growth and demand. This is an exciting time for us and wants to attract energic and creative people to the business to help us mature and grow our application software practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the App Design process working alongside the Resonate Designer
• Development using the MS Power Platform and other languages such as JSON
• Test incremental deliverables
• Refine applications
• Release final application
• Having exposure to working in an Agile development environment using best practice standards
• Work with others to understand and analyze requirements
• Develop readable and maintainable code solutions for greenfield applications as well as ones that support and enhance existing products.
• Innovate good approaches to development and encourage others to innovate.
• Resolve bugs raised from stabilization, integration and production.
• Build technical knowledge and share best practices.
• Working as part of several busy, friendly and fun Scrum Teams, implementing greenfield solutions as well as working on incremental updates of our existing products
• Working as part of a scrum team in multiple dev and test environments
• Assist in producing technical specifications by working with the end-user community to understand and develop solutions based on their requirements.
• Have a keen focus on UX and UI to ensure new and existing developments look and feel consistent
