Senior Software Project Manager

As the Project Manager you would take on a role managing a team of developers and architects
The key element of this role though is the successful, on-time and on-budget delivery of projects with Agile or Waterfall methodology. There is huge opportunity to develop in this role personally and also develop the practice within our company; your personality, drive and multi-stakeholder management skills will help you to achieve this!
You will be expected to implement a robust delivery process and methodology based on Agile and ensure others follow that methodology. It will be a key requirement initially to help implement this robust methodology.
Additionally, you will be required to manage the demand of projects coming into the developers and prioritize their workloads.
The projects will be a mixture of customer-facing and internal initiatives for proactively developing applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify all project deliverables and dependencies and develop an integrated plan including risk mitigation plans
• Providing regular Status Reports
• Implement Agile methodology and ensuring team adheres
• Implement Agile roles in the team
• Set up prioritisation of projects mechanism for the team and manage expectations for internal and external stakeholders
• Manage the Scope of the project meticulously and enforce project change control
• Arrange resources for the project in cooperation with line management
• Production and maintenance of Detailed Project Plans and schedules
• Set up governance for software projects
• Production and maintenance of Risk Log, Action Log, Issue Log, Dependency log, Meeting Minutes etc, for own projects
• Be a point of escalation internally and externally for issues
• Attendance at customer meetings
• Chairing internal project meetings
• Produce financial reporting/project spend tracking
• Managing escalations as first point of contact
• Management of project change control
• Production and maintenance of project documents (and also save these on relevant systems)
• Manage third-party suppliers, installers and other internal/ external delivery agencies
• The following would be desirable but not essential:
o Experience and understanding of Microsoft’s Power Platform (PowerApps/ PowerBI/ Power Automate/ Licensing)
o Understanding of Microsoft Teams and the ability to integrate the Power Platform
o Understand customer goals and challenges and map those back into requirements and designs for power platform
