Job description, responsibilities and duties

Infrastructure Administrator will work within Operations team and will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and cloud infrastructure. Infrastructure Administrator will keep up to date all hardware and software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of Resonate. Infrastructure administrator also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.

Highlights of Responsibilities:

• Setting up new users and manage licensing to internal resources (based on role/assignment)
• Maintain all software and hardware to ensure conformance with Resonate policies (Endpoint management and security).
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
• Create documentation and technical specifications for IT infrastructure (local and O365)
• Perform regular IT operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts
• Manage, maintain and update onsite and customer site printers
• Conduct network troubleshooting to segregate and identify general network problems.
• Operating the firewall for the organization and employing the latest security protocols
• Monitoring the internet connection (bandwidth, security risks, …)
• Provide support for Lab related work (network setup, segregation, access, …)
• Support implementation and planning of deletions, additions, and major changes to support regional infrastructure (Slovakia, UK, Netherlands).
• Test and recommend software and hardware solutions (mainly O365 related)
• Install the software, maintain and introduce training as needed.
• Maintain and update documentation of procedures and configurations.
• Provide support for the purchase of inventory related to hardware, software, and other IT supplies.
• Develop and maintain vendor relations.
• Inform senior staff about industry innovations and recommend relevant upgrades.
• Provide regular network and O365 usage metrics to operations manager

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

Skills required:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- 3-5 years of network administration, or system administration experience
- System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft (Windows/O365), or other network-related fields are a plus (CCNA/CCNP)
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices
- Ability to solve problems in stressful situations
- Strong attention to detail
- Communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users
- Time management skills
