You have a passion for finding knowledge nuggets out of large data sets? You want to help build a product that helps to understand and enrich masses of data? We have billions of behavioral data records from several hundreds of media sites, hundreds of thousands of subscription and payment records, and a growing set of other data at our disposal.

Our customers are some of the largest international media brands and are seeking ways to better engaging their audiences in order to grow their digital businesses. Our new product line, Piano AI, enables our clients to collect, manage, enrich, and analyze the vast amounts of data that are being collected every second in near real-time. Our analytics components enrich data and generate insights automatically.

As part of our Analytics team you will work on cutting-edge analytics models and components that are available as part of the Piano AI product. You will be working with Big Data toolsets and databases, statistical packages like R, and code in Python. You will review solutions from fellow Data Scientists and guide your team colleagues from a methodical perspective. As a senior member of the team you will suggest new components to work on.


Job specification:
• Deliver analytics models based on a variety of (statistical, data mining and machine-learning) approaches
• Preparing data for analysis including data cleansing
• Mining data for new hypotheses
• Convert models into components that can be deployed into Piano AI, either for interactive use or for processing large amounts of data in batch on scheduled basis
• Work with the AI development and architecture team to ensure deployability and performance of the components
• Support other team members
• Support our managed services team with analysis of customer behavior
• Provide input to new focus areas for research and development

Preferred:
• Experience in developing Python programs
• Experience with any business analytics or BI toolset
• Experience with large data sets (Big Data)
• Experience with Google Cloud Services or Amazon Web Services offerings

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Degree in information technology, mathematics, statistics, econometrics, social sciences, or equivalent

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Experience in quantitative methods, data mining, predictive modelling and/or machine learning
• Strong analytical skills
• Methodical and thorough
• Degree in mathematics, statistics, information science, or equivalent
• Experience with R (or its alternatives)
• Experience in writing SQL
• Fluent in English
• Solid communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Preference for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
