Job description, responsibilities and duties
The primary function of this position is to engineer and maintain systems for handling the automation of deploying infrastructure, software, database changes, and system configurations from QA to production environments. It is a collaborative role that requires interfacing with many other roles like, developers, QA analysts, product managers and database administrators. The goal is to deliver changes to a production environment in as short of a period as possible, with a high degree of quality, while minimizing downtime.

- Must have excellent oral and written communication
- Must have minimum 4 years’ experience in DevOps
- Must have minimum 3 years’ experience in application support
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with people from different discipline and varying degrees of technical experience
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Working understanding of network communications
- Linux, including BASH scripting
- SQL query writing experience
- Application server experience (JBoss, WebSpere, WebLogic or Tomcat)
- Application deployment experience
- Experience with common DevOps tools like CHEF, Puppet, Ansible, and Jenkins
- Akami CloudTest experience a plus
