Why is this job different to all other JAVA jobs?

It involves working on prototype projects, in other words, on something that nobody has done before. Each and every task is a challenge. We head to an unknown land do not even know if we will manage to find the way. However, if we do, with us you will experience success on the world-wide level and your results will be presented in The Silicon Valley.

What do you have to know?
Being fluent in Java? Yes, absolutely!
The big difference between us and the other large companies is that we utilize SCRUM, and we will expect you to do the same.
Furthermore, almost all our projects come from abroad, therefore, English is something you cannot live here without. Communication with clients world-wide is a daily routine here.

What will you do here?
Of course, you will write code. The rest is up to you and up to the fact if you get a junior or a senior position. The work is distributed based on the difficulty of the task and we believe in small teams. If the task is simple, it is completely up to you. You will do the analysis, design, write the code, and test it. If the task is more complex, the analysis and the solution is done in the team. If everything works, it needs to be moved to production, configured, and supported.

What you should be interested in:
It is an advantage if you are skilled in Client/Server architecture and Computer Networking, or if you are at least interested in them. However, these are not the kind of things we could not teach you quickly.

What do we expect from you?
Independence is a key. We will not spoon-feed you and this job is more for the kind of people who do not like others looking over their shoulder. Also, we will require a bit of perfectionism – since we do many open source projects, anybody can have a look at your code, so make sure that you have something to be proud of.

How high can you climb?
If you show knowledge in architecture, you can become an architect if you move to a senior or team leader position in JAVA. Our seniors are some of the best in the industry and they can teach you a lot.

Here is our salary ladder (gross):
Java SW Developer (junior) 1000 -1300 €
Java SW Engineer 1500 - 2000 €
Java Senior SW Engineer 2000 - 2800 €
Java Expert starting at 2800 €

The salary range is given in EUR. The salary is divided into a fixed and variable part (the variable part is paid in full unless the Code of Conduct is broken or work tasks are not performed).
