Job description, responsibilities and duties
In this function, you will be responsible to develop, simulate, optimize and characterization power devices like ESD protection devices as well as power driver stages, developed in multiple high-voltage smart-power technologies.
As practical tasks, this involves:
• Develop electrical, thermal and reliability optimized power devices (BJT, MOS and DMOS) and the associated layout generators in different high-voltage smart-power technologies.
• Create electrical and thermal models in Spectre, Eldo, PTM-ET etc… for the power drivers. Create and validate behavioral models for ESD protection devices in Eg. VerilogA, ESDi and other tools.
• Exploring new driver and protection concepts.
• To create test chips with device test structures. To follow up the processing. To characterize and measure test chips and cells, to analyze the measurement data, to write measurement reports and create guidelines and datasheets.
• To follow-up on the device qualifications done by Quality and Reliability department.
• To continuously improve the performance of existing devices
• Establishing cross-functional collaborations with other groups and the industry to tailor process and device aspects (application, manufacturing capability and reliability requirements)

Requirements:
• Engineering master degree in microelectronics with a background in semiconductor device physics and electrical characteristics of the different devices (DMOS, MOS, BJT, Diode, Zener) is required.
• Certificate according to MPSVaR SR 508/2009 - min. §21.
• Experience in reading schematics, in electrical characterization techniques is required.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and innovation skills with good personal drive.
• High commitment, excellent communication skills, strong teamwork attitude.
• Takes responsibility and ownership on timely realizing expected results.
• Speaks and writes fluent in English.
Advantage:
• Experience is welcome, but not required when a strong will to learn exists- Experience with Cadence schematic, layout and simulation tools is an advantage.
• Experience with Magwel PTM ET tools is an advantage
• Experience with Skill, Python is an advantage
• A good background in performing measurements, in metrology systems and measurement methods is an advantage
