Job description, responsibilities and duties

Job Description

The key to a successful economy is the development of safe and efficient transport networks. This is where our graduate transport planners come in. In today’s world we face many transport challenges, such as global warming and pollution, a constantly growing population and demand for travel, migration from rural areas into the cities and ‘disruptive’ changes such as connected autonomous vehicles. We are passionate about creating and contributing to the solutions for these challenges. Working across the UK, Europe and the rest of the world, we use the latest data and technology to develop and assess transport schemes, strategies and policies. You will have the option to work within the following disciplines:

  • Transport planning: with the guidance and support of our experts, you’ll be working on a variety of transport planning projects for all modes of travel, ranging from the delivery of major projects to the design of safe and efficient movement of people and goods on the network.

  • Transport modelling: as part of our highly skilled modelling team, you’ll contribute to the development and application of multi modal transport models. Our models predict peoples’ travel behaviour and forecast future travel demand to support decision making and help create an efficient transport system.

The focus of the transport modelling team in Prague will be to support UK-based projects, and you will be trained and supported by experienced colleagues to deliver against exacting UK standards. You will be integrated into our global transport planning business offering fantastic opportunities for your career to develop.
