The DMS Data Integration Lead plays a crucial role to ensure that master data is created in the right systems of record and that it flows properly across the system landscape. This role will focus on the most critical master data attributes and will work with the DMS Governance team to ensure data lineage is created in Data Catalog. The DMS Data Integration Lead will dive deep into data models, and data transformation solutions (Middleware, ETL, Google Cloud) and will identify opportunities to simplify data flows and increase data integrity/consistency. He/She will partner with Product Owners to define data models and data flows that maximize reliability and business value and with Enterprise Architects to agree on the best ways of integrating data, both from a data flow as well as a technology standpoint. He/She will get involved in complex business issues which require an understanding of e2e data flows to be fixed.

How you will contribute:
  • You will build subject matter expertise in master data flows across Mondelēz
  • Document and help Product Owners document data flows and data models for their applications
  • You shall find innovative ways to keep documentation up to date without massive manual labor
  • Engage in complex business problems and help to solve how data should flow
  • Enable DMS Governance by helping understand what data is available, in which systems, and who should be taking ownership of it
  • Review tactical ways of meeting business needs before they get implemented (e.g. short term creating an attribute in Salsify which is not the right system of record)
  • Manage a backlog of data integration challenges and work with his/her manager and broader DMS team to get them addressed through projects or product technical debt
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture team to define target Master Data Platform architecture
  • Co-lead together with Governance a definition of what data lineage documentation and update process is required to fulfill Data Governance objectives
  • Drive clarity of use cases that should source data from PIM vs. use cases that should source data from CMDL

Personality requirements and skills

  • Proven experience with creating successful data models – 5+ years
  • Proven experience working with data lineage and data catalog solutions – 3-5 years
  • Leadership and influential skills to enable teams to do the right thing within reasonable costs
  • DAMA certification, both foundation and data modeling is a plus
  • Defining and driving successful solution architecture strategy and standards
  • Components of holistic enterprise architecture
