You lead the inbound controlling and reporting activities for Mondelez Europe as part of transportation control tower in Bratislava and manage the Central Pallet Management (CPM) team.

Main responsibilities:

Accountable for budgeting and tracking against budget and previous actuals in inbound transportation:
  • Lead country, area and region planning processes (budget input)
  • Standard Rate calculation (2-3 times per year)
  • Quarterly/ YE closing process & actuals deviation analysis
  • Reserve tracking / Productivity tracking

Accountable for LCC reporting and internal controls in transportation, pallet management, customs and freight billing:
  • Monthly transportation control tower performance reports
  • Internal control reports, as needed
  • Recommendations on continuous improvement
  • Direct contact to Oracle Transport Management (OTM) implementation and future support ream

Reporting development:
  • Develop new reports as driven by new OTM TMS implementation
  • Drive reporting and other process automation in OTM
  • Test and validate automated reports
  • Set-up OTM reporting concept, processes, communication and way of working

Accountable for project support in inbound transportation:
  • Country, area, region project support – infrastructure optimization, projects etc
  • Financial Assessment of country, area, region projects (IRR/NPV, AR support)
  • Negotiation / tendering support
  • Ad hoc analysis

Accountable for support in strategy development in transportation management and pallet management:
  • Key contact for CS&L Area Directors, their teams and Area CS&L controllers
  • Local benchmarking and identification of cost savings potential
  • Adoption and implementation of best practices
  • Key contact / link in the EU and EMEA CS&L controlling organization and country CS&L Controllers
  • Key contract for CHEP for pallet management

Manage and support CPM team:
  • Set-up and support implementation of leaner and more automated processes
  • Ensure CHEP budget, actual cost tracking, inventory counts and communication to stakeholder is done timely and correctly. Ensure compliance of pallet management and re-conciliation processes

Budgets and manages the Transportation Control Tower Overheads:
  • Contact for overheads alignment
  • Budgeting in line with planned activities
  • Monthly variance tracking

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Required:

  • Proven experience in finance, preferably in CS&L
  • Experience of working in a multicultural teams and environment, with multi-functional interaction / exposure
  • Experience in budgeting and monitoring

  • SAP R3 / SD / MM
