The primary focus of this position is to support the Manager Conversion Costs Controlling to provide support to ISC management in their decision making process.

The Conversion Cost Analyst is responsible for decision support in Manufacturing conversion costing, related budgeting process, cost accounting and key performance tracking in EU region. Is the main business partner to Plant / Cluster controller and understands overall performance of their plant(s). Works with FME / Capex / Genpact teams to obtain full plant specific knowledge. Is a first point of contact for ad hoc plant analysis.
This role also operates in a complex matrix environment which involves people from different countries and categories (Plant Controllers, Plant Section Controllers, Manufacturing Controlling Team, Procurement Controlling Team, Commodity Controlling Team and Inventory Accounting Team). The person needs to be able to connect the dots/input and provide meaningful analysis as an output.


Main responsibilities:

Business partnering
• Partners with local organization to understand the nature and the services provided behind conversion costs and shares the responsibility to provide solutions if and how these costs can be optimized
• Constant monitoring of Opportunities & Risks to ensure we hit/beat the overall productivity target
• Provide insights on actual variances to planned costs and identify ways to improve performance

Actuals reporting
• Reviews evidence and reporting related to trials, scraps and other non-standard material usage, scrap valuation
• Analyses deviations vs plan to ensure prompt capture of opportunities and timely identification of risks aimed at mitigating business impacts and associated financial risks
• Provides support to Plant Controllers related information necessary for the completion of Presentation decks (standardized template)
• Provides support to Plant Controllers in calculating & validating savings for productivity projects where Capex is required.
• Analyses Deviations vs Plan of all conversion costs to ensure prompt capture of opportunities and timely identification of errors and risks aimed at mitigating business impacts and associated financial risks.
• Is a business partner for Plant/Cluster Controller - provides guidance to Genpact on ACT KPI deck preparation, provided comments and discuss final results

Planning/forecasting
• Calculate losses + variance analysis for budget/forecast purposes
• Calculates DVL + variance analysis for budget/forecast purposes
• Coordinates OVC/DVE budget preparation, including transportation cost calculation across all involved function
• Supervises costing runs process (conversion cost allocation to individual SKUs to generate OP conversion rates in SAP, which will be the base for all IBR costing runs in a calendar year) during OP Planning Cycle
• Aligns with Plant Controller, sets up and maintain budget assessment cycles , budget allocation keys in SAP, new cost centers
• Prepares, updates and distributes to controllers OP Presentation and Quarterly budget update deck templates
• Validates and reviews OP/quarterly forecast decks prepared by Genpact, adds comments and discuss with Plant/Cluster controllers
• Supports Plant/Cluster Controllers with budget/forecast presentation
• Coordinates of budget/forecast processes with other functions
• Provides support to Plant Controllers on information necessary for the completion of budget/ forecast/ reports (in Standardized template)
• Validates volume during budget process

Other tasks
• Supports SOX and CSA review process
• Prepares cost estimates for strategic New Product Developments (NPD) co-ordinating the communication with responsible teams
• Provides calculation for sourcing analysis to Product Cost Controlling;
• Validates quarterly updates of standard prices sent by Product Costing
• Manages YE related Intercompany Transaction (Debit/credit notes + true up) through the Intercompany Workflow system
• Coordinates year-end landing estimation for plants
• Calculates fix cost over/under absorption for plants
• Harmonization of manufacturing controlling processes across MEU ( by development of analytical tools, templates, models of calculations)
• Ensure SOP updates for COE scope of responsibility

Qualification/skills:

Required
• Must have University degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years working in accounting and controlling of a large multi-national company.
• System (SAP, BI and FiT) knowledge.
• Fluent in English - both written and spoken.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Team player.
• Well organized with good analytical and reporting skills.
• Proven track record of self-management and time management. Proven drive for results.
• Advanced in Excel & PowerPoint.
• Be highly motivated.
• Standing Alone. Dealing with Ambiguity.
Preferred
• Part / Fully qualified CIMA or ACCA is preferred.
• Internal Controls experience is a plus.
• Other EU language.
