PHP Programmer

We are building top-notch products and services to support and help small and mid-sized merchants better manage and grow their business, so any small business can feel big by taking advantage of high-end technologies and solutions. We are starting by offering merchants an Android-based payment terminal, CRM, and Loyalty products.
But it doesn't stop there. We are a very ambitious, diverse, and young team with big plans for improving the merchants' lives!
We want someone who is hands-on and doesn't run away from big challenges. Someone eager to learn and grow with us and contribute with expertise in solving merchant's problems and proposing innovative solutions. You need to be on the lookout for new technologies and tread with care when it comes to implementing them; you will ultimately make decisions which will impact the business as a whole

As a PHP Programmer you will:

Own your product experience. We are a development-driven company, and we are searching for someone that takes coding a customer-facing product seriously and understand the impact it can have on our customers.

You will have a voice within the team and be able to improve the product together with the Product Designer and other developers.

- Build with data. We are a data-driven company, so that means we are always walking towards fewer opinions and more data to back up our decisions. We measure our goals so we can make sure we are truly offering the best solution for our merchants. You’ll hear a lot about NPS, Churn, TPV, UX Research, User Tests and split testing.

- Work closely to the Product Designer. Besides participating on task scoping and planning, the Product Designer will request developer's expertise during the design process, meaning that your opinion and ideas can help create a better user experience. Also, you will constantly discuss improvements and share learnings with the Design team on how to improve design-to-dev hand-offs.

- Understand the importance of trade-offs. You understand that function is not enough. When coding an UI, attention to detail when translating a design hand-off into code is as important as doing a nice piece of code that helps other developers read.

Together with designers, you will create high impact and high quality products that are easy and fun to build but also easier to ship.

- You are a team player even outside Development scope. We are in the beginning of something great, but we are already big. As any high growth company, things can get messy sometimes and we count on you to help us resolve our own issues. Always putting the merchant in first place.

- Solve big problems. Small businesses are the fuel of our society. They dedicate their time to serve us, to stimulate the economy and create jobs. That is a hard thing to do and we know how important technology and design can help them to succeed and improve. It’s our job to listen to them, solve their problems and come up with innovative ways to disrupt the market.

Requirements
-2+ years as a PHP Programmer

- Knowledge of PHP (Laravel framework preferred, JS and MySQL)

- Fluency in English

- Know how to have fun by doing great and meaningful work :)

- Be reliable and pro-active with an analytical mindset
