Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

-Developement and processing of all ocean freight related businesses of Slovakia
- Responsible for Full-container and less-container transportations
- Break bulk transportations
-Consolidations services including operating hub and gateway network
-Suggest and implement combination of air/ocean transports/products
-Responsilbe for the budget and Ocean Freight team country andocean product results
-P/L responsibility-Accountable for negotiations
-Manages country business development following regional directives
-Responsible for implementation of local ocean freight strategy
-Manages country LCL network
-Manages country’s ocean bid including pricing strategies and local procurement
-Processes local market intelligence, KPIs and statistical data

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

-Profound knowledge of the ocean freight Industry
- Work experience in a global forwarding / logistics company
- Minimum 5-10 years of industry experience either on the forwarder or carrier side
- Minimum 5 years of experience in people management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development, coaching, conflict and performance management
- Good knowledge of trends, opportunities and markets
- IT experience regarding Ocean freight operations systems
- Good leadership and problem solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills-
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Good ability to plan strategically and translate strategy into operational roadmaps
- Proficient in MS Office
