Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are currently looking for a Plant Finance Manager (f/m) within the Plant Vráble, Slovakia, who is passionate in Finance Management and has a positive, can-do attitude. This position will be based in Vráble, Slovakia.

The Plant Finance Manager has complete responsibility for the financial operations of Plant Vráble, Slovakia. This role manages and directs the development, interpretation and reporting of financial data to support the attainment of Plant/Business Unit objectives, and plans, coordinates, and administers the budgeting process for the Plant. Accounting practices and procedures consistent with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices) are established in accordance with corporate policies and legal requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high quality business partnering to the Plant manager and the local management team; being a member of the local management team
  • Manage all Accounting, Reporting, Tax and Treasury activities: Fully manage the preparation and issuance of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements with notes according to IFRS and other Financial & regulatory reports required by Slovakian legislation; as well as perform overall financial statement analytical reviews and review all subjective accounts
  • Support the plant business budgeting process to include production plan, shipments, labor loads, cost reduction programs, capital investments, etc.
  • Manage and perform the plant & legal entity budget consolidation for all business units present. Support the business units in the monthly forecasting process
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Finance, Tax and Treasury teams and Business Unit Controlling teams in their respective tasks
  • Report and interpret key financial performance metrics with the management team to maximize business opportunities and results
  • Drive continuous (process) improvement & simplification projects within the scope provided by the Business Unit and Corporate; manage roll out of large projects
  • Ensure proper plant asset safeguarding procedures for company assets like inventory, receivables and cash and monitoring of thereof
  • Prepare monthly review meetings with management to support appropriately informed business decisions
  • Actively lead the finance department towards defined objectives in respect of accepted guidelines and develop the local Finance team, to build capability and succession coverage and appropriate organization structure; provide a motivating and engaging work environment

Personality requirements and skills

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in Finance leadership position is required, preferable in Automotive or Manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record in managing a P&L, strong business acumen with a demonstrable record of adding value at a senior level
  • You have a strong understanding of numbers and a quick grasp, along with a high degree of accuracy, your structured and analytical work completes your profile
  • They are characterized by their ability to communicate, assertiveness, willingness to perform and a secure appearance
  • Very good analytical skills and a strong process-oriented mindset
  • Versatile handling of SAP and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with reporting and BI tools
  • You have a good knowledge of spoken and written English
