Accountant - Project & Provision

What you will do
Our Record to Report team are responsible for maintenance of the contracts, book cost transfers and allocations, generate revenue, whilst at the same time, ensuring compliance with JCI accounting policies, procedures and processes. This role provides excellent opportunities to apply existing skills in a complex and interesting environment, whilst developing your professional profile through the use of varied ERPs, directly enhancing your career potential.
 
How you will do it
* Generate unbilled (UBR) / unearned (UER) revenue, close POC module
* Calculate and prepare the Warranty provision journal and Inventory provision journal specific by country ensuring that JCI meets all its internal and external reporting and control requirements
* Complete the preparation of AP debit allowance, Goods Received Not Invoices and Missing Timesheets journals
* Check and post the restructuring related entries
* Support the DOA administrators when applicable
* Prepare the Inventory and Secured volume and Backlog stats (HFM template)
* Complete the balance sheet reconciliation activities per service level agreement
* Review income statement and balance sheet discrepancies and escalate to management as necessary
* Complete assigned accounting activities to support the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
* Assist, as needed, with internal and external audits
* Support  the timely reporting of key financial information; monitor the performance and quality of the activities performed based on agreed Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) and Service Level Agreements (“SLAs”)
* Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP accounting rules, where applicable
* Operate within a robust SOX and internal control environment
What we look for
* Part qualified accountant is advantage – ( in the process of obtaining professional accountancy Qualification such as, CPA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
* Degree in accounting and / or finance.
* Min 2 years of experience in complex accounting.
* Strong Accounting background and accuracy
* MS-Office, Oracle/iScala/SAP
* English language, others are advantage

You will be based in our newly opened offices in the vibrant city center close to the river and Eurovea shopping center..
