GDPR Specialist

This role sits with legal department and works to protect, support and advise the company on a range of data protection and compliance matters.

Key responsibilities:
* active participation on implementation and ongoing performance and fulfilment of GDPR and compliance program
* perform risk assessment to identify risks, understand risk levels, significance and propose the measures to mitigate such risks
* monitor compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies
* support organisation in setting up processes from GDPR and compliance perspective
* educate and train employees on compliance and data protection topics and processes
* provide advice and guidance to the organisation and its employees on the GDPR and compliance requirements and topics
* identify and investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues
* highlight or escalate areas of concern
* contribute to effective compliance controls within the organisation
* collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance

* University degree, education in area of law is an advantage
* Strong experience with data protection and GDPR implementation
* Experience in compliance is advantage
* Fluent in English, including GDPR, compliance and business terminology
* Strong communicator with a proven track record of demonstrating logic and analytical thinking, combined with business focused and pragmatic advice
* Comfortable challenging other members of the organisation with strong influencing and engagement skills
* Strong prioritisation skills
* Team player who is willing to take responsibility for his own workload, whilst providing assistance and support to other members of the team

* Permanent working contract, working directly for JLR.
