We are looking to recruit a locally based Advanced Manufacturing Engineering organization as an extension to the UK based team. Paint Facilities Engineering is responsible for the introduction of new facilities and equipment required to process new materials & product programs through all JLR Paint Shops.

Main responsibilities:
• Take an active role in the design and development of automotive manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment in line with manufacturing planning assumptions for new model introductions
• Liaison with key suppliers and management of a section of a larger turnkey project
• To assist the department manager with all aspects of program activities - such as process / manufacturing system design and development, the organizing and running of design reviews and problem solving.
• Work within the Manufacturing teams with optimizing Hours Per Car and Capital Investment opportunities.
• Understand and deploy quality management system processes and procedures to support Plant accreditation and alignment with core JLR global systems.
• Lead the development of Lean Manufacturing process concepts in line with Bill of Process and Design for manufacturing principles.
• Work within and lead a small team of cross functional engineers, and ensure the objectives and deliverables assigned and agreed by the team are met.
• Work with Product Development to ensure optimized design for manufacturing
• Use of project management techniques to develop and control schedule, cost, risk and change management.
• Use of automotive engineering tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, Capability, Technical Availability and Reliability and Maintainability planning
• Manage progress and drive resolution of issues through project design to final buy-off.
• Ensure value for money solutions are sought for all engineering changes, product and facility driven.

Požiadavky

• Educated to a higher level in an engineering discipline
• Experience of automotive manufacturing technical planning
• Knowledge and direct experience of automotive manufacturing facilities and processes directly related to Paint Shop.
• Ability to present feasibility assessments, facts and recommendations clearly to a wide range of audiences
• Able to work in a cross functional team across multiple grades.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Have the ability to work unsupervised (at times) to a set of objectives & targets.
• Proficient in English, Slovakian and other European languages is advantage
• Strong project management skills is advantage
• Skilled user of product lifecycle management tools is advantage
• Have the knowledge and understanding to develop project specifications is advantage
