Job description, responsibilities and duties

ROLE PURPOSE:
Month end Corporate Consolidation and internal/external financial statement reporting to provide timely and accurate financial information and collaborate with management to improve efficiencies and accuracy within the consolidation/reporting processes. To ensure timely and accurate accounting and reports in accordance with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley rules.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary of Essential Job Functions
• Provide timely and accurate financial information to senior management and external auditors.
• Perform consolidation steps including eliminations
• Process topside journal entries
• Prepare monthly internal balance sheet and income statement
• Prepare monthly joint venture financial statements
• Prepare quarterly external reporting support schedules
• Facilitate and review bi-quarterly business unit variance analysis
• Monitor and communicate inter-company variances through to correction
• Monitor and complete quarterly audit and SOX requirements
• Compile quarterly balance sheet flux explanations and analysis
• Collaboration with team members and management to improve efficiencies and accuracy within the consolidation and financial reporting processes. Continually look for process improvement, seeking new ideas and ensuring open communication with coworkers and internal customers. May participate in corporate or departmental quality or process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external financial accounting and legal procedures and policies relevant to the scope of this role including GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley.
• Lead efforts on Census reporting from external requests and partner with other business units to report accurate information
• Strong technical accounting skills (US GAAP), particularly related to consolidations
• Strong working knowledge in Excel and experience in reporting
• Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions
• May assist with special projects for the Audit Committee, offices of Chief Financial Officer and Worldwide Controller and Investor Relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Personality requirements and skills

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in accounting; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience – general accounting /
• Expert in MS Excel; Proficient in other MS Office Suite applications – vlookup / pivot tables
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, problem solving, and highly detail oriented
• Ability to work independently
• Must be flexible and an effective team player
• Strong technical accounting skills (US GAAP), particularly related to consolidations and external reporting
• Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions
• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (FM) software
• Strong analytical and numeric skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and customers
• Working experience in financial reporting and consolidation preferred
