Job description, responsibilities and duties

Under the supervision of the Head of Office and the Senior Project Assistant, the Implementation and Reintegration Assistant will be responsible for oversight and implementation of all relevant project activities including activities related to the capacity building of IOM partners working with vulnerable groups and reintegration of migrants under the programme of assisted voluntary return and reintegration.

Specifically, s/he:
1.Provides pre-departure reintegration counseling to the target group based on close co-operation with field operations assistants;
2. Assists returnees with elaboration of reintegration plans;
3. Co-operates with IOM missions regarding the elaboration and feedback on proposed reintegration plans;
4. Organizes the meetings of the IOM Bratislava committee to select reintegration plans for implementations;
5. Cooperates closely with IOM missions in the countries of origin regarding the practical implementation of reintegration assistance;
6. Collects all supporting documentation regarding the implemented reintegration cases;
7. Ensures monitoring of the implemented reintegration assistance;
8. In co-operation with the project manager updates the IOM manual on reintegration;
9. Actively participates in related activities, such as development of information materials for target groups, PR activities of the program, etc.;
10. Establishes and maintains contacts with relevant governmental, non-governmental entities on project issues;
11. Actively participates in the meetings of the project team as well as attends official meetings and appointments if needed.
12. Assists in the monitoring and evaluation of the project as well as in the preparation of periodic and final reports on activities in compliance with donor reporting requirements.;
13. In cooperation with other members of the project team contributes to development of new projects aimed at different migration issues, in order to secure sustainability and continuation of AVR activities;
14. Assists with translations;
15. Coordinates and implements capacity-building activities focused on vulnerable groups;
16. Prepares the content and updates the training materials;
17. Assists with updates of AVRR website and social media;
18. Coordinates preparation and implementation of reintegration videos in cooperation with IOM offices in countries of origin and the beneficiaries;
19. Prepares and actively implements all project activities;
20. Performs other duties assigned by Head of Office/Project Manager.

General Staff (GIV, UN Salary Scale valid for the Slovak Republic since 1 Jan 2009). Step one of the salary scale corresponds to brutto 613EUR per month(net payment of 501EUR - income is exempted from taxation).

Personality requirements and skills

 University degree – masters – social work, international relations or related field;
 At least 2 years of experience with project management, development, monitoring and reporting;
 Experience with migration issues;
 Familiarity with expenditure monitoring and management of the grant finances;
 Experience with text analyses;
 Very good communication and organisation skills. Personal commitment, efficiency and drive for results. Proven ability to work independently as well as in a project team;
 Excellent command of spoken and written English and Slovak languages;
 Excellent computer skills;
 Driving license B – active driver.
