About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

IBSS Bratislava (ING Bank Shared Services Bratislava) is a servicing hub providing transactional & banking operations services for ING’s global wholesale clients. These are exciting times for us as we are now also starting to offer more and more complex knowledge work in design and consultancy roles. We are part of the IBSS organization which consists of servicing hubs around the globe. Our vision is to centralize the processing activities of ING to these servicing hubs to help harmonize and standardize products and processes in order to give an outstanding and differentiating client experience to all clients of ING worldwide.

To support this growth and harmonization we are now looking for another member to join our local development team. The mission of this team is to develop and maintain software and web solutions which will replace outdated systems and bring a smooth and modern end-user experience for the entire organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the design, development and delivery of software and web solutions that align with business needs and internal technical standards
  • Develop technical specifications & build and test robust code to accomplish business requirements
  • Provide time/effort estimates for development tasks
  • Diagnose & troubleshoot technical problems (functional / performance related)
  • Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impact project delivery and/or budget
  • Provide regular progress updates to management including highlighting any potential delivery risks or issues

It is possible to work remotely with occasional travel to office in Bratislava (at least once per month).

Personality requirements and skills

  • 1+ years of experience in web development
  • Good knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, PHP, CSS)
  • Experience with Vue.js/Angular/React
  • Knowledge of Visual basic for applications – subroutines, classes, Windows forms and Add in files.
  • Experience with creating SPA (if you understand that we do not mean SPA & wellness you are on the right track) – nice to have
  • Experience with reading and writing technical project documentation as well as working instructions
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology
  • Passion about your field of expertise and ambition to grow as a person and professional
  • Technical English (B2/C1)
