About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

IBSS Bratislava (ING Bank Shared Services Bratislava) is a servicing hub providing transactional & banking operations services for ING wholesale & retail branches worldwide. These are exciting times for us as we are now also starting to offer more and more complex knowledge work in design and consultancy roles and are currently expanding our risk management capabilities. We are part of the IBSS organization which consists of servicing hubs around the globe.

In this position you will be working within the 1st Line of Defence (LoD) and will help ensure that ING entities around the globe stay in control of its 1st LoD risk management activities. This is a full-time position, based in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Responsibilities
As a business control officer (BCO) you will be responsible for KYC Framework, including but not limited to the following :
  • Support the global KYC Policy Champion in delivering KYC implementation and key control testing;
  • Supporting execution of KYC key control testing, including progress tracking and reporting;
  • Advise on gaps identified during KYC key control testing;
  • Execution of (operational) planning and activities within scope of KYC Framework, focusing on non-financial risk deliverables;
  • Working together with other BCOs or KYC officers in wholesale banking area across the globe to coordinate on KYC-related BCO activities (such as key control testing, process alignment and implementation efforts);
  • Support iRisk data management tasks;

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

  • 1+ year of experience in risk management, compliance or internal controls
  • Knowledge of risk assessments, control implementation & control testing
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude
  • Preferably, knowledge of iRisk or similar;
  • Preferably, knowledge of Financial Economic Crime;
  • A pro-active, can-do mentality;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Organisational sensitivity;
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office;
  • Excellent level of English (C1);
  • Master’s degree or equivalent;
