About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a Sales Support Team leader. You will be providing daily leadership and supervision of the Sales support team.
As a Cash Advisory & Structuring Team leader you will be working for Transaction Services (‘TS’) in ING Wholesale Banking. TS offers a comprehensive range of products to Corporate Clients and Financial Institutions across Europe, Asia and the US.

You will lead the Cash Advisory & Structuring Specialists, Proposal officers, and designers. Your focus is PCM solutions and you will advise on and structure Pan-European PCM Solutions for Corporate Clients together with the ING Network Sales teams. Together with your team, you will be delivering top quality customised proposals and pitches for large multinationals and institutions. Activities comprise all products in the Payments & Cash Management including merchant acquiring services and our partner banking activities.

You will be working in a team within a professional, dynamic and international environment where you can make a visible contribution to the sales process through solution driven thinking and cross-selling.

Tasks and responsibilities:

The job is a key role in the TS Sales process and requires a combination of people management, strong client focus, analytical skills and knowledge of international TS Products and Solutions.

  • You will actively support the Sales teams with complex transactions and the
structuring of Pan-European PCM solutions for Corporate Clients and Financial
Institutions
  • You will be acting as a connecting link between employees and management,
stimulating and ensuring cooperation and team work among the team members.
  • Representing the department and acts as a point of contact
  • Regularly monitor performance of employees based on operational management,
quality and team behavior. Based on that to evaluate their performance and give
feedback on regular bilateral and yearly meetings and appraisals
  • Regularly plan and do staff appraisals, planning of trainings and development,
planning of holidays, back-ups, forecasting staffing requirements.
  • You will develop in-depth product knowledge of solutions, legislation and trends
required to advise and support the in-country Sales teams
  • You will be responsible for actively developing and maintaining the information
database and proposal material
  • In this role you will retrieve information from and actively communicate with
stakeholders:
  • Act as liaison between Sales and Product Tribes and share best practices
  • Responsible for knowledge transfer to the in-country Sales teams
  • You will develop, position and promote a selected number of “themes” in the
Payments & Cash Management domain that will differentiate ING from and put ING
ahead of its competitors
  • You will be working closely with the proposal officers managing Request for Proposals
and Request for Information, producing top quality multi-product proposals for
strategic/key clients
  • You will work with a wide range of stakeholders, TS Sales, TS Product Management
Tribes, Corporate Clients, Financial Institutions and the ING International network

Education
  • University education (Bachelor's degree or Master's
degree) preferably in Economics, Accounting or
Finance (above average academic grades)
  • Excellent level in written English (near- native
knowledge) and strong verbal communication skills
  • At least 5 years of work experience in transaction
driven environment (preferably in Transaction
Services in the areas of Payments & Cash
Management) and people management role
  • At ease with managing time-sensitive projects with a
large number of stakeholders
