Work environment

The Control Hub is responsible for performing Non-Financial Risk activities which are currently performed in the ING branches. The process of centralizing activities already started. Therefore we are looking for entrepreneurs not afraid of taking initiatives and will help to make this Control Hub a success. The Junior Operational Control Specialist has contact with internal (international) parties to perform event (incident) management.

In the Control Hub, a local team will be built up including the hierarchical steering. You must be able to understand what the impact is of your activities on other departments and you are committed to agreements and procedures. At the same time, you have a good understanding of what is expected from you including continuous improvement.

Responsibilities & duties

As an Event (Incident) Reporter you are responsible for reporting, registration, investigation, update, and closure of operational risk events (incidents) from a First Line of Defense perspective. You will identify the nature of the events (incidents) and assess it from Non- financial Risk perspective. You will facilitate timely notification and update to all relevant functions across the global organisation. You will be entrusted with a global standardized process in one or more areas of Non-Financial Risks and will be responsible for the effective and efficient execution of this process.

You are client-oriented and listen to the requests of GSO Business Partners. You shall be able to analyze these requests and assess their feasibility and compliance with global standards. If deemed viable, you integrate the changes into the process. Over time, you will develop yourself into a process expert, being able to spot trends in your environment and initiate changes to improve the process. You will be part of the Control Hub.
