About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

IBSS Bratislava (ING Bank Shared Services Bratislava) is a servicing hub providing transactional & banking operations services for ING’s global wholesale clients. These are exciting times for us as we are now also starting to offer more and more complex knowledge work in design and consultancy roles. We are part of the IBSS organization which consists of servicing hubs around the globe. Our vision is to centralize the processing activities of ING to these servicing hubs to help harmonize and standardize products and processes in order to give an outstanding and differentiating client experience to all clients of ING worldwide.

ING is now standardizing and centralizing its internal controls in its Bratislava and Manila servicing hubs, in an organization called Control Hub. Control Hub will be responsible for performing 1st Line Risk and Control Framework functions, including but not limited to, Key Control Testing, implementation of Control Standards, Event Reporting and the facilitation of Risk Assessments. All of these activities are currently performed by ING branches directly.

To support this growth we are now recruiting for an Global Event Reporting & RCSA SME in Bratislava. This person will be responsible for maintaining ING’s Global Event Reporting procedure and will also be responsible for rolling out this process globally. Additionally, the person will also lead and facilitate risk assessment locally and for other ING wholesale entities.

This is a full time position, based in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Responsibilities:

Event Reporting
  • Become the owner of ING’s Global Event Reporting procedure and keep procedure up to date
  • Roll out the new Global Event Reporting Procedure to all ING Wholesale entities worldwide and ensure uniformity in global event reporting across ING Wholesale banking
  • Serve as an escalation point for Control Hub Event Reporting specialists and ING business partners with regards to any issues related to the event reporting process

Risk assessments (RCSA)
  • Coordinate with 2nd LoD and business partners in the facilitation of risk assessments (both locally within IBSS Bratislava and also for other ING Wholesale entities)
  • Partner with 2nd LoD and business partners to identify and understand where operational risks arise
  • Take lead in developing, implementing and tracking mitigations actions (MIAs) to address any identified risks

Personality requirements and skills

  • 7+ years of banking experience (preferably across various business lines) and an understanding of banking operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to influence senior global functional leaders
  • Ability to ensure global collaboration without losing track of your role as a service provider
  • Willingness to transform the operational management experience into our One Agile Way of Working
  • Experience working in a 3 lines of defense model advantageous
  • Must be able to perform varied simultaneous tasks in an environment of medium to high complexity
  • Must be able to coordinate the goals of and track progress and follow up with various parties, with various seniority levels and across many different nationalities
  • BS/BA degree or higher
