Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
- preparation of RFQ packages, processing of inquiries to released and potential new suppliers
- analysis of supplier quotations & recommendation for sourcing decisions based on given technical and commercial project aspects
- initiate, negotiate and perform contracts with suppliers for direct material (e.g. Non-Disclosure Agreements, Letter of Intent, Development Agreement, Supply Agreements)
- negotiate and execute indirect, service and maintenance supplier contracts
- negotiate and execute Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order Process
- develop category purchasing strategies and implement yearly price improvements for direct materials
- establish, develop and maintain relationship with key suppliers globally
- support purchasing performance indicators and monthly reporting
- perform supplier evaluation
- support Supplier Quality Assurance and Logistics during escalation issues with suppliers
