Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Analyzing customer specifications and proposing a cable harness, constructing the cable and accessories, determining cable costs, selecting a sub-supplier, and sharing lessons learnt
- Acting as an internal interface for the global project teams and product engineering
- Supporting the factory in defining the cable manufacturing specification
- Acting as an external interface for the customer engineering and quality departments in terms of cable design and cable specification review.
- Verifying technical feasibility and compliance with specification
- Supporting QA in responding to customer complaints, and taking corrective action
- Providing all the necessary information for the system qualification and, if necessary, proposing a testing program to complement the available test records

A Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, or physics desired)
Experience as an Engineer in the wire and cable industry (engineering or manufacturing environment).
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with customers
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, contract documentation, and government/industry standards and specifications
Knowledge of standard business software products (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows XP etc.)
Fluent in English (written and spoken), German is an asset
The ability to work autonomously in an international environment, creativity, team spirit and a pro-active attitude are imperativeMay require travel overseas for training for extended periods
