IBM is seeking a talented Back-End Software Developer to optimize existing and develop new functionality in IBM Knowledge Center (KC) - an industry-leading information delivery mechanism. IBM Knowledge Center has already garnered the largest percentage of page views on ibm.com, receiving over 1M new visitors per week, over 5M page views a week, and 50M search requests per year. The BE SW developer will collaborate with other SW Developers, Designers, Testers, Accessibility experts and Product Management team to craft and hone the leading content delivery application for IBM clients.

We are looking for an experienced back-end developer who will help with architectural decisions and lead the implementation process. (e.g. migration to the cloud, search optimization, AI implementation, …) He will translate client/stakeholder requirements and user stories into technical solutions. He will become part of the KC team, which interacts with clients and make an impact on the solution performance.

Role Requirements:
• Advanced Java SE knowledge (Java7 and newer)
• Strong in NodeJS
• Experienced in Web Services (Restful or SOAP) and hands-on experience working with JAX-RS, JAX-WS
• Understanding of XML, JSON
• Understanding of Relation Databases and SQL queries
• Restful API development
• Good communication skills
• Strong logical thinking

Optional skills:
• Experience with micro-services, Cloud, Cloud orchestration and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• Experience with Elastic search (query, mapping)
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design and Test-Driven Development
• Experience with CI/CD using industry standards and SW delivery principles
• Understanding of commonly used enterprise integration patterns
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience with a WebSphere application server
