Job description, responsibilities and duties

- Establish short and long-term strategic operating objectives.
- You will oversee and direct those who oversee plant operations including safety, production, warehousing, shipping and receiving, maintenance and office management.
- You will also ensure compliance with state regulations, be the representative among state institutions.
- Monitor and enforce quality control standards; forecast and schedule production.
- Develop and/or approve all plant operating policies.
- Direct, manage and develop supervisory personnel to enhance and implement new safety programs and procedures.
- Establish and monitor the plant operating budget; prepare and analyze profit and loss statements; identify and implement improvements to positively affect profitability. You may also recommend the purchase of all capital equipment and plant expansion possibilities.
- Identify all possible sources of raw material while monitoring quality and cost effectiveness; negotiate supplier and vendor contracts and ensure the quality of all purchased supplies and services.
- Foster and maintain a high level of customer service through on-time deliveries, responsiveness to customer needs and ensuring that the quality of the shipped product meets all customer quality requirements.
- Communicate with other plant managers to share new ideas and resources.
- You will work with our Regional Directors, salespeople and corporate office personnel to ensure efficient operation of plant.
- Develop and maintain positive community relations: participate in community activities and/or approve all plant operating policies.
