Who We Are Looking For?
We are looking for a talented Network Engineer with over 4 years of experience in some of the following areas: IT multivendor network infrastructures, operating systems, including high availability setups. The role of Senior Network Engineer is an important part of our project teams. The Senior Network Engineers is responsible for the requirements specification and technical design of network infrastructure in close cooperation with our customers and internal stakeholders and deploying the network. network including extensive work on-site within Europe and beyond. As such, a strong technical foundation coupled with the desire to grow would make you a strong addition to our team.
Your main tasks in the project will be:
• Design, implementation and administration network LAN, WAN, WLAN, QoS, Firewall, DMZ, SSL-VPN infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, VoIP, IDS, IPS)
• Design, Implementation and administration the servers based on Linux OS
• Implementation and administration the virtualization platform – network parts
• Verification of technical feasibility and co-design of the system architecture
• Collection and analysis of customer specifications
• Point of contact for the customer regarding all technical issues
• Analyzing technical project risks and opportunities and developing contingency plans
• Developing simulations in cooperation with the test department
• System build, support and put into operation
• Expert level in network troubleshooting (capture and analyse network traffic, understand various network and application level protocols) and fault identification during system integration
• Preparation of technical documentation of the system and its interfaces
• Conduct system qualification tests – network parts
• Network monitoring, optimization, and automation.
Technologies and Frameworks
As a Senior Network Engineer, you should have experience in or desire to expand into the following areas:
• Network solutions (Routers, Switches, Firewall, IDS, IPS, VPN, etc.)
• Design of reliable, fail-safe network topologies and network services for LAN and WAN, based upon current best practices and COTS-products (mostly Cisco)
• Operating systems (Windows/Linux) – install and configure
• Virtualization (Vmware, Hyper-V, KVM) – install and configure network parts
• Monitoring solutions (Zabbix, Zenoss, Cacti, PRTG, Observium, etc.) - install and configure
Languages
• English language – B2 in spoken and written communication
• German language – advantage
