Job description, responsibilities and duties
- product development engineer’s role is to work as a specialist in new R&D projects as a member of a project team.
Key tasks:
- mechanical engineering of components, welded structures and assemblies in 3-D and 2-D software
- design to cost and manufacturability
- communication between different stakeholders
- plan and implement needed product changes according to: own productions demands, quality demands, sourcing demands, customer needs, cost targets
- responsible for continuous improvement in his/her area
