Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti
To ensure the smooth and reliable operation of all division related applications globally
• Installs, updates, tunes and diagnoses applications in Quality Assurance,
Customer Testing and Production environments
• Monitors designated applications and infrastructure, takes corrective actions
to prevent or minimize errors or even system downtimes
• Provides application performance tuning
• Works closely with application development teams to tune and troubleshoot applications
• Responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis
• Troubleshoots and resolves any reported problems
• Assists and executes scripts (e.g. DML/DDL, monitoring) as required
• Provides 3rd Level support for the applications. Must be able to support 24 x 7 on call duty
• Creates and maintains documentation (e.g. configuration, operational) accordingly and trains others as needed
• Actively participates on projects in close collaboration with among others business analysts, project managers, quality assurance
• Takes initiative in continuous improvement
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
• Keeps current with the latest technology

• Bachelor’s degree or educational equivalent in computer science or information technology field or several years of equivalent work experience
• Strong Linux experience including scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl) for administration tasks
• Comprehensive knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios)
• Experience with Java application containers such as Tomcat and WebLogic
• Experience with SQL Query Development as it relates to Oracle / MySQL
• Experience with agile development and project management methods is desired
• Experience in Puppet, RPM and most common revision control systems is an advantage
• Hands-on experience in process automation (e.g. recurring tasks, workflow), best practice approach, technology efficiency and effectiveness
• Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service, be a good listener and work well with others
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse group of internal customers
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and takes initiative
• Ability to learn new content areas and new skills quickly
