The Competitive Intelligence Intern will work in Product Management / Competitive Intelligence team. The overall charter of C.I. is to drive informed managerial, product and sales decisions by providing thorough and accurate data and analysis on the company, the industry, and our competition. We strive to give our interns projects that produce meaningful deliverables by the end of their time at ESET, thereby helping them to grow and thrive in their careers.
Position Overview
- Interns will analyze competitors features, pricing, finances, operations etc. and compare to ESET’s current standing
- Use interviews, data collection practices, internet searches, etc. to collect data on both the industry as well as our competitors
- Support the buildup the new structure of a competitive site on the company intranet
- Support the update of product comparison database
- Assist in the creation of a searchable central competitive database
- Support other marketing and competitive analysis activities to implement the business plan.
- Monitor industry events and alert management of trends and notable news
Key Requirements
- Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to learn new systems and processes as projects demand, the ability to work independently, try new tasks & take ownership
- Highly developed research skills, familiarity with efficiently sifting through internet searches and extracting meaningful data while ignoring the “noise
- Ability to condense large amounts of information into thorough, consumable comparisons, analysis and research documents.
- Professionalism and Integrity — this position will be interacting with ESET’s upper management and will also be privy to highly sensitive information
- Excellent verbal and written communication, proficient MS Office skills
- Current study field from Competitive Intelligence or Security area is a strong plus
