Group Centre Functions (GCF) provides group solutions in the risk, business intelligence and finance areas. GCF is key internal IT provider for Erste Group management and is IT service partner for group CRO, CFO and COO as well as for local banks in CEE countries
A Senior Backend Oracle developer is responsible for Group DWH and BI solutions ETL development, deployment and monitoring. He works with the team designing the ETL process, exception handling and ETL processes scheduling (workflow) definition and setup.
A candidate is expected to have experience in designing, developing and deploying ETL mappings and workflows, providing technical guidance to other staff resources and have experience in a variety of software development concepts and practices.
Tasks:
• Participation on Software Design Specification preparation (SDS)
• Interpretation of SDS to understand mapping and transformational requirements
• Designing, development and test ETL processes
• Designing and set up of ETL workflow/process
• Deployment packages preparation
• Optimize runtimes of existing ETL processes and new programs to fit in a desired time frame
• Effort estimation for assigned tasks and participation on the DWH and BI releases planning
• Participation on 3rd level support for our operations team
• Provision of support to test teams in their work by fixing and solving bugs
• Creation and maintain proper technical documentation to ensure the quality of the software
• Working within schedule of DWH and BI agreed releases for the solution
• Participating on research projects, exploring and evaluating new technologies

Very good knowledge of the following tools and programming languages:

• Experience with developing ETL/ELT processes using ODI tool
• 5 or more years of software development experience with Oracle databases
• 5 or more years of experience developing ETL processes against relational and dimensional/star-schema structures and xperience developing ETL against denormalize and normalized data structures
• Very good experience with scheduling ETL processes
• Software development experience with Oracle RDBMS 11g and higher
• Experience developing and modifying scripts on a Linux or Unix environment
• Experience in measuring and tuning the performance of DWH and BI solutions code
• Strong discipline in Software development life cycle
• Experiences with CASE tools - Power designer, Erwin
• Experiences with Issues and project tracking systems like JIRA
• Ability to solve and work on a variety of high impact, high-profile problems / projects
• Ability to learn new technologies, solve complex technical problems and multitask initiatives
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
