Job description, responsibilities and duties
As a Bid/Pursuit Manager you are responsible for the pre-qualification, planning, direction, and co-ordination of activities starting from qualification stage until contract signature both internally and with the client. Your bid teams comprise usually a small number of technical specialists, distributed all over the globe. A Bid/Pursuit Manager also influences sales strategy and DXC’s positioning at the client. It is the “single point of contact” for all pursuit related matters and responsible for managing pursuit plan and budget, for undertaking proposal management and pricing tasks.
Job responsibilities:
Perform end-to-end pursuit leadership/management
Collaboration and Managing internal stakeholders
Collaboration with Sales or Account teams to ensure appropriate messaging and strategy is reflected in the Pursuit
Manage communication and reporting
Gather and maintains pursuit metrics
Plan pursuit from qualification stage to contract signature
Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
Ensure adherence with best practices and deal governance
Coordinate business and technical resources
Coordinate pursuit best practices events
Plan due diligence and contract negotiations
Manage the pursuit budget, internal billing, and time tracking
Proposal development and management
Target Pricing and Target Costing
Pricing for low-complex deals
Supporting pre- and post-contract lessons learned activities
Hand-over pursuit deliverables to the execution teams (delivery teams)

Personality requirements and skills
- Graduate degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or economics.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a pursuit manager / bid manager (or similar position) in IT industry with proven track record
- Project Management – respective certification (traditional and/or agile) is an advantage
- Understanding of ITSM/ITIL processes - ITIL Certification is an advantage
- Thorough knowledge of competitive situation in regional and global market
- Planning and organizational skills
