As a Technical Consultant in Localization you first will learn and successively use your knowledge and skills to manage scope and budget of localization projects, interact with colleagues, vendors, internal and external customers across the globe to deliver localized contents. This will happen using our vendors’ expertise in the area of translation, trans-creation and related content creation and management technologies. You will follow project management processes typical for the industry, tailored per customer.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As a junior, you will receive directions and guidance on the process and tools specific for the localisation industry from more senior members during on-boarding and gradually grow into the role completely.

You will end up:
  • Managing localization and translation process of contents of various kind, e.g. websites, marketing campaigns, multimedia, legal documents, software, user manuals, etc.
  • Selecting a proper localization process, coordinate vendors and manage their deliveries
  • Analyzing and estimating the scope of work and providing a price quotation to customer for approval
  • Running financial closure (monthly billing) of your projects towards clients and vendors
  • Being a single point of contact for the client per the given projects, proposing best solutions and provide consultations
  • Communicating with various stakeholders and coordinating their tasks related to your project
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with customers, based on positive experience, on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Using various as called CAT tools (Computer-Assisted Translation tools), using Cloud environment
  • Being experienced Localisation Project Manager who can use this gained skill in this Localisation, Globalization and Internationalization IT sector.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You’ll need to be/have:
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Economics, Business Engineering (computer science, technical writing, etc.), IT or equivalent, can be a linguistic education either
  • Desire to work in a team, able to cooperate and contribute to team success, still having a reasonable level of self-organization and independence in ownership and judgement
  • Nice to work with, sensitive to personal and cultural differences
  • Self-starter, taking ownership and able to make decisions, having attention to detail and timeliness
  • An open, flexible and adaptable mindset to cope with a rapidly changing set of tasks as well as with routine tasks
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Self-driven to learn and practice gained know-how
  • Focused despite obstacles
  • Proficient in MS Office tools
  • At least B2 (upper intermediate) in English, both written and spoken, fluent English to be often used during confcalls
  • Ability to work sitting down using computer for prolonged periods of time

Even better if you are/have:
  • Experience with Localization tools, e.g. Idiom, Trados, WorldServer, Wordfast, Memsource, .. or any other Translation Management System or Machine Translation tools
  • Experience with project management best practices
  • Engineering experience in Desktop publishing (DTP), multimedia processing (Adobe Suite), etc.
  • Other than English language skill
