We are looking for a motivated SQL developer to help the team expand our Oracle DB based application. A successful candidate should be fluent in the SQL syntax and be comfortable understanding and navigating database structures. He or she should have an eye for detail and an interest in data science. The team offers a broad range of learning and growth opportunities and would welcome a driven and forthcoming colleague.

The main responsibilities of the Junior Database Developer will be to write new and adjust existing SQL procedures, triggers and scripts as well as to review and optimize code for performance and transparency purposes. He or she will be part of a team of database developers and will collaborate with them on more complex assignments. This will also provide opportunities to learn on the job to complement other, more traditional, learning methods.

Our database developers team is part of a broader software development team and successful candidates will also have a chance to expand their skills in other programming areas, if interested.


To be able to perform the role, the following skills and experiences are mandatory:
• A good familiarity with SQL syntax (ideally PL SQL, but could also be MS SQL)
• Understanding of DB table structures and objects
• Good written and spoken English
• A strong sense of responsibility and focus on detail (we are handling millions of customer data)
• Experience in working in agile teams is a bonus
• Interest in current developments and trends in the IT industry (Data mining, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containers, microservices, serverless applications, etc.)
