Job description, responsibilities and duties
Build, configure and maintain global customers’ environments for SAP/DB, mainly SAP and HANA lifecycle/availability management on virtualized as well as traditional infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring: Define and setup alert thresholds based on standards in order to meet given SLA’s.
Service management: Follow effective service delivery processes based on ITIL/ISO20000.
Technical project management: Initiate, define, plan, perform and report SAP technical projects.
Consultation: Participates in the client communication, setting of objectives and strategies in IT environment. Be a trusted advisor for the client and the account.
Automation: Assist in designing automated workflows.
Documentation: Document new or modified solutions and workflows.

Work Experience: 3+ years of experience in the following:
SAP Basis experience in SAP products:
Administrator knowledge with at least 2 types of DB (HANA preferred):
Technical experience with:

SAP Basis experience in SAP products:
- SAP business suite products
- SAP solutions
Administrator knowledge with at least 2 types of DB (HANA preferred):
- HANA, Oracle, Sybase ASE, DB2, MaxDB, MSSQL
Technical experience with:
- ITIL processes (IM, CM, PM…)
- Project management for technical tasks
- Customers on-boarding, implementation and migration projects
- SAP and database live-cycle management
- SAP and DB technical daily operations
- e2e root cause analysis
Additional requirements:
- Min. High school degree
- Written and spoken English (fluent / native)
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to impart ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
- Used to work on high-availability and mission-critical environments
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES:
- Certified in SAP Basis technical area(s)
- Additional language (German) is an advantage
- Experience in DevOps, Agile, SCRUM methodologies
