Job description, responsibilities and duties

The DXC Workload Migration Solution Offering Solution Architect (WLM OSA) is an experienced individual that will engage our most strategic customers in executive discussions; understand customer requirements – business and/or technical, help translate the requirements into reference architectures, help customers define their WLM journeys to the cloud and hybrid delivery, and align DxC solutions to discrete customer use cases. Additionally, the WLM OSA will use expertise to seek out new opportunities, generate revenue, provide customer value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities to build the pipeline and may also drive pursuits in DXC’s Cloud and integrated solutions.
 
This WLM OSA role helps DXC’s clients clarify goals and develop plans to harness computing services to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their business. When delivered successfully, this role positions DXC as a trusted partner to our clients during the early planning and decision-making process.  This favored status yields insights into client strategies and needs, allowing DXC to anticipate and exceed client expectations for follow-on business for the benefit of both the client and DXC.
Responsibilities Include:
Ability to understand and solution complex Workload Migrations to Hybrid/Cloud Technologies.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of business needs for the responsible accounts by driving understanding of WLM solutions
Translate business needs into a cloud reference architecture and WLM journey(s)
 Design Low Level Detailed Migration Plans for Workloads from any platform to AWS
Utilize workload migration tools to AWS
Develop technical roadmaps, data migration approaches to successfully complete the project
Strong ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities
Collaborate with sales leaders and account executives & teams in 3 year business plans and yearly account planning and  drive / deploy the cloud architecture into the account
Collaborate to design and deploy proof of concepts to support use cases through the journey
Contribute to enduring executive relationships that establish DxC's consultative professionalism and promote its total solution capabilities
Maintains expertise on IT at all levels – business needs served, new applications, maintenance, typical budgets of the CIO's, typical objectives, measures, metrics.
Responsible to meet regional TCV, FFYR and Revenue targets as well as growth in the accounts
ASR/VMWare/AWS/Azure Skills a plus.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Recognized WLM/Cloud  technology leader; with strong combination of consultative, technology and business acumen
Strong customer facing presence; experience.
Deep understanding of current day customer business/technology requirements and spectrum of journeys (traditional to cloud/hybrid)
Subject matter expert in cloud and associated architectures/technologies
Vertical expertise preferred (e.g., financial - BFSI, telecom, public sector, healthcare)
Preferred strong understanding/knowledge of DXC Services and  Converged Cloud portfolio (build and consume) including DXC and partner solutions e.g. Azure, AWS
Knowledge of competitive portfolio solutions
Ability to leverage other teams to support objectives
Uses expertise in specialty, consultative solution selling and business development skills to align the client's business needs with complex solutions
Excellent project oversight skills
Demonstrates the ability to leverage DxC’s portfolio of products and services to change the playing field against our competition
Understands the leverage of services as part of strategic portfolio of products. Promotes services as part of all strategic opportunities
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner/ISV solutions
Ability to direct and manage against cross matrixed teams across various organizations
