Job description, responsibilities and duties
We at DXC are continuing to expand our Development team and are looking for a specific individual with the talent, energy and drive to work in a co-located collaborative agile environment delivering significant product innovation. This is a chance to make an important and dramatic impact for a Quality Assurance Engineer who has experience making quality a successful part of a cross-functional team. In addition, this is an opportunity to develop some of the most advanced cloud platform engineering software that is in operation at scale today.

Primary Responsibilities :
Engineer customer-focused test strategies and plans encompassing a suite of reliable test cases, determining where to use manual and/or automated approaches
Create test automation designs and roadmaps for QA Processes
Lead global test teams
Work directly with software engineers, quality engineers, technical writers, and product management to understand customer needs, and then implement and test high value features and product functionality
Enhance existing application testing infrastructure. Also investigate and develop skills in new technologies

Personality requirements and skills
Required Qualifications:
Be a self starter and a quick learner
Technical prowess to provide guidance to Product and Engineering teams on designing cutting edge cloud solutions
Experience using test automation tools and/or writing automated test scripts. REST/SOAP is a plus
The ability to write test cases/procedures to an approved specification and determine their sufficiency to ensure high product quality leveraging end to end system testing and exploratory testing
The ability to mold, adapt, drive, and own a QA process to fit the needs of the team and the product
Eight or more years of professional experience in software quality assurance and/or development
Excellent troubleshooting skills, specifically involved with the development of innovative enterprise grade software
Exceptional oral and written communication skills along with ability to work with others as a team
Proficiency in one or more defect tracking and test case management software systems
Comfortable working in an Agile software engineering environment with a focus on the principals and values espoused in the Agile Manifesto
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS,OpenStack, EC2, Vsphere, Azure, etc, or a willingness to voraciously learn about cloud technologies on the job
Experience working with software engineering source control management and build tools (e.g Jenkins, Rational, Perforce, etc.)
8+ years of software testing experience focused on SaaS or Enterprise software product development
Development/scripting experience with one or more of the following – Java, C#, Selenium, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Shell Scripting, Python, etc.
Knowledge of operating complex applications on any Linux variant
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
Experience with techniques such as TDD, continuous delivery, and test coverage as part of a total quality software engineering organization
Experience with performance automation testing focused across multiple areas such as scalability, response, and load
