As an Application Administrator you are working for DN customers in Finance, Banking, Retail and Petrol sector where you are providing the support to fulfil their expectations, as well as being capable to deal with transaction files and job management. Application administrator is primarily supporting proprietary J2EE applications (Linux OS & Java based), middleware containers and infrastructure used by these applications which are providing endpoint Monitoring, Software & Distribution and Inventory. Your tasks may include creation and maintenance of solutions to keep SLAs on expected levels, improving the qualitative areas and implementing innovated solution to improve delivery of service. You are also responsible for the problem management and development of the knowledge base. This position is requires the operational L2 support within 2-shifts model for all regions globally.

Key Responsibilities

• 2nd Level Support regarding ICT and Applications
• Provide support for customers on global market (Europe, Americas, Asia)
• Operation of middleware application containers (Kafka, ActiveMQ, Apache WS, Tomcat, JBoss/Wildfly)
• Responsible for the incident, change, request and problem management process for applications and application servers on a daily basis with corporate toolset
• Create IT solutions for customers on global market and strive to improve satisfaction of customers
• Delivery of standard orders (various reports for customers, SQL queries, data collection and processing, and also Batch, Backup, Archive, Journals, Reports, Log's, etc )
• Implementation of Continual Service Improvement within your scope of work

• Starting salary 17 280 EUR gross/annually depending on experience

Personality requirements and skills

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical or equivalent technical education
• 2-3 years of experience with Linux related technologies on intermediate level
• Understanding of network diagram and topology (LAN, WAN, protocols, ports, …)
• Experience with apache http web server, Active MQ, Tomcat, JBoss/Wildfly, Perl Scripts, Bash Scripts, RHEL/SLES OS, LDAP, Python scripting is an advantage
• Able to communicate in English language (speak, read, write), German language is an advantage
• Good communication skills – convince colleagues about new ideas, be able to communicate under pressure.
• Willingness to work in shift models, based on customer requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ICT services in large organization is an advantage
• Experience in ITSM according to ITIL is an advantage
• Application management experience is advantage
