Job description, responsibilities and duties

Contribute to reach efficient usage of resources and maximum  long term availability / reliability of the equipment and installations in the plant by:

  • Preparation, Planning and Scheduling of the appropriate maintenance actions at the lowest cost / highest efficiency and in compliance with the OH&S regulations.
  • Monitoring and analyzing maintenance processes and equipments operation condition.
  • Guarantee compliance with OH&S and environment policies in the definition of maintenance plans and routines.
  • Determine and plan the necessary preventive actions to assure long term proper functioning of equipment and installations.
  • Contribute to plan annual shutdown programs. 
  • Establish preventive maintenance plans in cooperation with Production Manager, Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Supervisors. Lead planning for all foreseeable operations (weekly, master, shutdown).
  • Develop robust predictive plans to change maintenance approach to Reliability centered maintenance system.
  • Manage continuous improvement process in maintenance department.
  • Supervise equipment improvement plans and cooperate with CAPEX department to ensure best maintainability of new installations.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in the elaboration and control of the maintenance budget, ensuring planning of costs. Responsibility for inventory level.
  • Develop and motivate its team, ensuring competencies and skills development according to technical innovations, plant or personal needs. 
  • Train and coach the maintenance team on preventive and predictive maintenance and maintenance routines.
  • Ensure with his team (planners) efficient level of preparation and anticipation of all maintenance actions to be performed, based on history, condition monitoring, notifications and feed-back from work-orders.

Personality requirements and skills

Technical and functional skills: 

  • Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years of experience withing heavy industry or engineering production
  • Knowledge of SAP PM (or any other CMMS)
  • English language - B2 is the must
  • MS office - user
  • MS Project (or other project management software) knowledge is an advantage

Personal prerequisites:

  • proactive person with out of box thinking
  • open mind for new ideas 
  • experienced with leading a middle size maintenance teams 
  • preventive, not reactive approach when it comes to the solving problems 
  • team player
